*Blossom in Kew Gardens, Linocut

'Blossom in Kew Gardens' is a one plate reduction cut.

Inspired by the beautiful, 'Cherry Walk' of cherry tress and tulips. The vivid pinks of the blossom and tulips and the bright green of spring grass. I've added a crisp bight blue sky to create a punchy vibrant piece.

This piece is entirely made by hand using the reduction Linocut technique. One block is repeatedly carved and printed entirely by hand to slowly build the image. Once the image has been created, no more can be reproduced. everything is done entirely by human hand.

In this piece the printed area is 40.5cm wide and 30.5cm long. The paper measures 46.5cm wide and 36.5 cm long. It is printed using artist-quality oil-based Caligo inks and is printed on heavyweight Italian printing paper.
